Brad Pitt will drive Mercedes-designed car at Silverstone
- Cas van de Kleut
It has been known for a while that work is underway on a new film about Formula 1, starring Brad Pitt. Now it has been confirmed that the actor will drive a real car during the race weekend at Silverstone.
Mercedes has been working on a converted Formula 2 car that Pitt will drive. Lewis Hamilton is collaborating on the script for the film. The seven-time world champion is positive about the film, telling The Race: “We’ve got a really great and diverse cast. Joe’s focus is to make us as embedded in this sport as possible. For me it’s to make sure it’s authentic, and that all of you and racing fans see its authenticity and say ‘this is believable’, and have a view of racing from a different perspective than you might see on TV."

Pitt will be driving his car at the time when no one else is on the track. So it is not like he will actually be racing with another driver. On Twitter, people are tweeting a lot about Pitt and the film:
Para clarificar el tema película Brad Pitt. No pilotará un F1. Será un F2/F3. Y pilotará cuando no haya otros coches en pista.
