Aston Martin team boss Mike Krack spoke confidently about a possible victory for his team in Monaco. The circuit seems to be a good track for the Aston Martin, which is especially fast in corners.
Win in Monaco?
The Silverstone-based team has made huge strides forward over the winter. In fact, Aston Martin is currently second in the championship, and with Fernando Alonso's three podiums already, the team also has a good scoring driver on its hands.
Expectations for the rest of the season are therefore high, and team boss Mike Krack even wants to think about a win already: "I think there are some tracks where the combination of this driver with this car may still be more magical", he told DAZN F1.
He cited Monaco as an example. The street circuit consists of few straights, which in turn suits the Aston Martin: "We have shortcomings on very long straights, it's no secret. We've seen it and we have to work on it a lot. On tracks where this doesn't count as much is where we can have more confidence, but being fast in these races isn't everything. You have to be fast, you have to finish, not make mistakes and then see what the result is."
