Still tinkering with RB19 Verstappen on the grid: 'A leak'
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen will have to fight his way forward from 15th position on Sunday night. At Red Bull Racing, they are confident the reigning world champion can fight his way to a podium finish. Helmut Marko thinks overtaking should be quite possible at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
The RB19 has good top speed and that should start to help Verstappen overtake the drivers in front of him. Speaking to the German branch of Sky, Marko says: "We have a very good car. Max was superior in all sessions. We have a top speed of ten kilometres per hour ahead of Ferrari. That should help with overtaking. And we have Max," said the 79-year-old Austrian.
Mechanics Red Bull still busy
Christian Horner confirmed to Sky Sports that work is still being done on Verstappen's RB19. The 25-year-old driver revealed on his lap to the grid that his pedal was a bit slippery. The Red Bull Racing team boss stated that some fluid leaked at a vent hole at the front of the car.
Speaking to Viaplay, Horner went on to say, "he [Max] has to stay out of trouble. We have a great car. He has a good pace, so we will see." On Perez: "He [Checo] likes it here so hopefully, he converts it today."
