Lando Norris and his new teammate Oscar Piastri are looking forward to the 2023 season. Yet there is also much to learn for both of them. Norris talks about this in a press conference attended by GPblog.

Oscar Piastri indicated that, as a rookie, the main focus will be on his learning process in Formula 1 this year. Norris has been part of the sport for longer, but there is still plenty to learn for him too following last season:

"[As] a driver, I think there are still so many things that I was able to take on board. Things over the winter that we've put a plan in place for to try and improve and combat, and try to then turn them from those things that we've learned to actual action on the track and then improve how I drive on the racetrack. Many things, I think things that I don’t need to necessarily share both on track and off track. Some good plans, I would say to help myself improve and bring myself to the next step, which I need to do this season."

A matter of team effort

Not only Norris as an individual is ready to turn his learning into good results on the track, but the whole team are going to do so: "A lot was learned both from my side as a driver, and also for us as a team. I think as a team, we had a very rough start, but we made some good progress from then on out, so maintaining that, but at least starting from a better position is our goal this year."
