Verstappen makes too much noise, fine for Imola

Red Bull Racing rented the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola in mid-October for filming with Max Verstappen. The circuit now has to give part of the rental fee to the local authorities. The municipality fined the circuit because the car Max Verstappen used on track exceeded the noise standards.
During filming, Verstappen was driving the 2013 RB09. With that, he made more noise than was allowed according to the licence the circuit has. It resulted in a fine of 500 euros. Whether the fine will be passed on to the Red Bull team is unknown.
Only time
Imola's municipal council includes Elena Penazzi, whose responsibilities include matters concerning the circuit. She tells the Corriere dello Sport why the fine was handed out. "The Red Bull event was the only time last year when too much noise was produced at the circuit, despite the many activities. On 12 October, Red Bull came with an older car and with it the limits were exceeded. It was only a few laps."
Max Verstappen and his Red Bull team have fond memories of Imola in 2022. The Dutchman won the Grand Prix there, ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez.
