Pietro Fittipaldi's Formula 1 career looks set to be limited to two Grands Prix. The Haas reserve driver had hoped for a permanent seat in the most prominent racing series in the world, but has now once again has to settle for another series.

Fittipaldi has driven in the World Endurance Championship(WEC) before, but not on a regular basis. He competed in the 2022 Le Mans 24 Hours with Inter Europol and had a limited programme with the DragonSpeed LMP1 team in the 2018-'19 series. He broke his leg during practice for the opening race at Spa.

JOTA team

Driving on an interim basis is disappearing. The JOTA team - currently reigning champion in LMP2 - has contracted the Brazilian for the upcoming season. Fittipalidi will compete throughout the season. In addition, it is still unknown whether the Brazilian will stay on as Haas' test and reserve driver. Clarification on that is expected soon.
