Max Verstappen may have convincingly clinched the world title this season, but the season did not go entirely smoothly. In the first three race weekends, he had two stoppages. In addition, Red Bull Racing went badly wrong in Singapore. Verstappen, however, was less concerned about the latter.

As the Dutchman was having an excellent spell, he already had a chance of winning the World Championship in Singapore. In qualifying, however, Red Bull made a big mistake. Red Bull broke his fast lap, after which Verstappen had too little fuel on board for the final minutes. It earned him a disappointing seventh finishing spot.

"I find engine trouble more frustrating," Verstappen responded, speaking to Formule1.nl. "A mistake by the team is easy to correct, but with engine trouble you're more like: sh*t, that can happen more often. That has to do with reliability."

Verstappen sees 'beautiful exhibition' at Ferrari

Verstappen stressed that he is happy to be out for Red Bull, as his team is hardly to be faulted. That is different at Ferrari, where it has been frequently at fault this race year. "Over there they make a nice exhibition of it from time to time, yes," Verstappen responded.

However, the two-time World Champion does not talk to Charles Leclerc about the situation at Ferrari, he insists. Indeed, according to Verstappen, he should not talk about the competition. "No, I find that kind of thing annoying to ask. He's in enough trouble himself of course."
