Button: "If Checo's upset about Max winning, it's a problem for Checo"

After FP2 today, Jenson Button shared his thoughts on the incident involving Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez last weekend in Brazil and it was clear to see which side the Brit was leaning towards.
"Max is the one winning races, if Checo's upset about that, it's a problem for Checo," Button explained in Sky Sports post-session show, "Seb did exactly the same, Multi 21 was exactly the same, and we think of Seb as such a sweet guy."
Hard to let teammate through in Yas Marina
The Brit then went on to explain how it would have been easier for the team to switch their drivers in Brazil compared to Abu Dhabi, after seeing the pace difference between the two Red Bull drivers today.
He added: "If Checo does have the deficit to Max, and Max is away in the lead and Checo is 20 seconds behind, he's probably not going to slow down and let him pass. So doing it when they're fighting for sixth position would've been a much easier ask. Here it looks like Max has a big advantage over Checo, but we'll see if that happens in qualifying."
