Ferrari is reportedly going to fire more chief executives besides Mattia Binotto. According to F1ingenerale.com Inaki Rueda and Laurent Mekies have also been told to leave after the season at the Italian racing stable.

It was already revealed on Tuesday that Binotto is under heavy pressure. Ferrari hoped to compete for the world title this season, but that went wrong partly due to several strategic mistakes made by the team. The Ferrari management has therefore reportedly decided that Binotto should step down.

However, more people are rumoured to be leaving. Indeed, sporting director Mekies would also have to find another workplace. He reportedly already knows by now where he will start work, as he is said to be replacing Frédéric Vasseur at Alfa Romeo. Strategic director Rueda is also said to be preparing to leave.

Vasseur is to succeed Binotto at Ferrari

Meanwhile, Ferrari is said to have already recruited Binotto's replacement. Indeed, Vasseur is said to be in pole position to take over the role of the current team boss. Although Ferrari firmly denied the rumours on Tuesday , calling them "unfounded", several media outlets think otherwise. More may become clear after next weekend's race weekend in Abu Dhabi.
