Does GP Las Vegas fit into programme? 'Commands completely different model'
- GPblog.com
Organisers of the Las Vegas Grand Prix still have over a year to prepare for the event. Emily Prazer, former head of commercial development at Formula 1 and currently commercial director of the GP, is confident it will be a great success. She told Planetf1.com.
With the race weekend in Las Vegas, America managed to secure its third Formula 1 race. Indeed, where a GP has been held in Austin for years, Miami has also been on the programme since this season. According to Prazer, however, the circuits are sufficiently different from each other.
She is therefore proud that Las Vegas has managed to make it onto the calendar for the new season. "Vegas just commands a completely different model because of the infrastructure here, the casinos and the clients," she stressed in the interview.
GP Las Vegas wants to compete with Super Bowl
Expectations for next season are high. Although there is still a lot of work to be brought to fruition, Prazer is confident it will impress. "I think this is the event that will rival the Super Bowl," he said.
