Albon praises Sargeant: "I know he will be very quick"

Alexander Albon is confident of working with Logan Sargeant, his intended teammate for next year. Speaking to Motorsport-Total.com Albon praised Sargeant's attitude and willingness to learn.
After three years, Williams are ending their partnership with Nicholas Latifi at the end of this season. The Canadian was unable to make much of an impression and was almost constantly edged out by his teammates George Russell and Alexander Albon. His intended replacement is the current number two in Formula 2, Logan Sargeant. As a rookie in Formula 1, Sargeant will have to depend largely on what he can learn from Albon.
For the British-Thai, that is no objection at all. "I will be open with him because the bottom line is that we have to work together and want to focus more on the midfield. That is why I will pass on my knowledge to him. But I don't have to take him by the hand. I already know he will be very quick."
"He is willing to learn"
Sargeant previously took a seat in Latifi's Williams to gain experience during practice sessions. Albon saw a positive development there, and also immediately got a good idea of the attitude with which Sargeant is taking on this challenge.
"First of all, we need to know where he stands with his experience and knowledge. It is good that he is now doing some training sessions on Fridays. That will accelerate his development. He is willing to learn and is constantly asking questions."
It is not yet 100 per cent certain that Sargeant may actually take a seat in the Williams next year. The American does not currently have enough points for his racing licence to be allowed to drive in Formula One. Williams has announced it will do everything in its power to help Sargeant get the necessary points though.
