The Mexican Grand Prix was a race to forget for Ferrari. Carlos Sainz drove towards fifth place in no-man's land. Despite the slow pace of the Italians, Sainz remains somewhat positive.

"No issues. That is the main point that this weekend we were just slow, but we know the compromises we had to take going into this weekend, with this car, this engine and we knew that we were going to lose performance more than what we expected, Sainz said in a conversation with Sky Sports.

Sainz hopes for improvement in Brazil and Abu Dhabi

From the start, the Red Bull Racing and Mercedes drivers managed to drive away from the Ferrari drivers. Sainz dropped out in Japan after crashing into the wall and last weekend in Austin, the poleman was taken out at the first corner by George Russell. So the Spaniard had to get used to the car again in Mexico but hopes to come back strongly in the final two races of the season.

"We are 1 minute off.. I haven't done a race in a month, so to actually get back into it. Have good pace management and learn from the car. We will learn from it and make sure we have good pace in Brasil and Abu Dhabi," said the Spaniard.
