Sebastian Vettel will drive with a very special helmet during the Mexican Grand Prix. Indeed, in honour of Dietrich Mateschitz, the German will be seen wearing a Red Bull helmet this weekend.

Last weekend, Red Bull founder Mateschitz passed away. It was a big shock for the Formula 1 paddock, as the Austrian played a major role in the sport, teams and drivers. Many (former) Red Bull drivers owe their place in the sport to the top man's (financial) investments.

So did Sebastian Vettel, who was picked up by Helmut Marko's training team and won his and Red Bull's first world title in 2010. Vettel would go on to win six more titles with the Austrian racing stable (three in drivers and three in constructors) and thus owes a lot to its founder.

Vettel will show that at the upcoming Mexican GP. Despite driving for Aston Martin in the meantime, Vettel has apparently been permitted to drive the Grand Prix wearing a Red Bull helmet. It is original design of the Red Bull helmet reminiscent of the colours from the early years in F1. The helmet also features "Danke Didi!".
