Binotto on Red Bull title: 'Best possible tribute to their founder'

Ferrari leaves the US Grand Prix with mixed feelings. Carlos Sainz was thrown off the track by George Russell at the first corner, but Charles Leclerc managed to reach the podium after a fine advance. Mattia Binotto hopes Ferrari can still pose a challenge to Red Bull Racing in the last few races but is mainly focused on next year.
"Obviously, there are mixed emotions after today’s race," Binotto said in the Ferrari press release. "Through no fault of his own, Carlos was out after the opening lap. Charles meanwhile staged a great climb up the order, which took him all the way to the podium."
Binotto favours Red Bull constructors' title
The Ferrari team boss realises his team is missing something in the races compared to Red Bull Racing, but wholeheartedly wishes the rival team the constructors' title. "By winning the title today honoured their founder in the best way possible," Binotto said.
In the last few races of the Formula 1 season, the Italian hopes to make things difficult for his rivals. "We will continue to work on giving them a hard time, starting right from next week in Mexico and naturally, we are also working hard on our preparation for the challenges that lie ahead next season," Binotto said.
