Hamilton on Red Bull case: 'I was fined 25k for a nose ring!'

Mercedes in particular reacted angry to Red Bull Racing exceeding its budget cap. Lot of people were think back to the controversial end of the title race in 2021 and how an extra million might have made the difference in Max Verstappen 's favour.
Lewis Hamilton revealed earlier this week that he hopes the FIA will take strict action against Red Bull, although he did not want to interfere too much either. Rather, he wanted to put his energy into further developing his Mercedes. He trusted the FIA to do the right thing.
Integrity
By SkySports Hamilton is asked about the matter again. "I have moved on from last year. This popping up at this point of the season definitely brings up emotions for many people, particularly fans. It's about integrity. We have got to stick to the core values of what this sport is. We got a £25,000 fine for having this nose ring in so! I can't control what will happen, I don't know what will happen in the background, I am hoping they will take the right steps so in future no team does it again."
It may become clear this weekend what the punishment for Red Bull will be. On Friday night in Austin, there was a meeting between team boss Christian Horner and the FIA. That lasted only 15 minutes. Talks are likely to continue on Saturday.
