Max Verstappen will be in action in the United States this weekend wearing a special helmet. The Red Bull Racing driver has designed the helmet himself and he has chosen to really reflect American influences in the design. In a video on his own YouTube channel, the 25-year-old driver explains more.

"I thought what to do and there are many things you can do in Texas of course, in Austin" Verstappen insists. In the end, the two-time world champion decided to take the circuit on which this weekend's racing will be raced as a basis in terms of design." I decided to go a little bit with what they also do around the track, with all the nice lines, the red and blue lines. It really showcases America with the stars"

Next, Verstappen says he had a last-minute change made on the back of his helmet. "we also made a slight adjustment with the two stars, that would be beautiful to do for this current Grand Prix. I also keep collecting the stars luckily. I am very happy with the final result and think it looks very cool. I’m really happy with the end result I think it’s going to look really cool, I hope of course you guys are going to enjoy it as well."
