Max Verstappen got to celebrate his second world title at the Japanese Grand Prix. Whereas last year the driver had a fierce battle with Lewis Hamilton that lasted until the end, in 2022 he had a much easier time with Charles Leclerc. Despite this, Verstappen has no different feelings about his new world title, he said in conversation with Sky Sports.

Analysts are short of superlatives to describe Verstappen's performance this year. At the start of the season, it looked like the driver would have a tough time with Ferrari, but nothing could be further from the truth. Indeed, after his crashes in the first and third races, Verstappen dominated until the end.

However, in the interview with the English medium, he stated that he also appreciated the battle with Hamilton. "Both are, at the end of the day, nice to experience because it's nice also really to have the pressure on and having to perform to your limit every single lap of the race," he explained.

Verstappen enjoys at Red Bull

Verstappen still has a contract until the end of 2028, which means he will continue to drive for Red Bull Racing for the time being. Although he does not rule out taking up another challenge then, he is currently well placed with the Austrian formation. "I really enjoy being part of this team for a long time and hopefully for a long time to come," he said.
