Red Bull Racing saw Max Verstappen clinch the world title in Japan for the second time in a row. The Austrian formation experienced another period of dominating with Sebastian Vettel in the past. For Jenson Button and Karun Chandhok, memories come to mind, they told Sky Sports.

"I saw this exact thing 11 years ago with Sebastian and Red Bull," Button recalls fondly. The former Formula 1 driver is referring to 2011, when Vettel took his second world title in Japan. "He was so dominant. This is similar to what Max has done."

Both men are impressed by the way Verstappen is showing himself to the outside world this season. Whereas in the past he has at times looked restless on the track, the Dutchman shows that the first world title has made him even more mature.

"I think we've seen a different Max this year," Chandhok analyses. "Spa and Monza he didn't go for the half gaps that we've seen in the past. He is a once-in-a-generation talent, like Lewis, like Senna. We were lucky to see Hamilton and Verstappen go head to head."

Red Bull can achieve their next goal in America

Red Bull still has something to fight for this season. Indeed, in the United States, the team has the opportunity to win the constructors' championship for the first time in years. The difference with Ferrari is 165 points in favour of the Austrians.
