Stefano Domenicali thinks Max Verstappen is the deserved winner of this year's world championship. The Liberty Media CEO argues that the Red Bull Racing driver has been unapproachable all season.

"Congratulations to Max Verstappen and Red Bull for clinching the driver’s championship for 2022. Max has driven incredibly all season, with no mistakes, and has shown the world again what an amazing talent he is," Domenicali was quoted afterwards by the likes of De Telegraaf.

Still a lot to drive for in 2022

With four races to go, Verstappen can no longer be overtaken by Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc in the world championship. However, that does not mean this year's final Grands Prix will not be exciting, as Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc are still battling it out for second place in the World Championship, as are George Russell and Carlos Sainz for P4.

Red Bull Racing also wants to achieve the record most wins in a single season. The Austrian racing stable currently stands on 14 wins and can make it a maximum of 18.
