Tsunoda honours Japanese fans, Bottas with helmet design by his girlfriend
- GPblog.com
The Japanese Grand Prix has proved a good occasion for many F1 drivers to wear special helmets. For example, Yuki Tsunoda is wearing a different helmet in his own country, but we also see special designs on Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez.
New helmets in Japan
Tsunoda is racing the Japanese Grand Prix for the first time and he is not letting that pass him by lightly. The AlphaTauri driver has chosen a predominantly white helmet, with a golden yellow front. On top and on the side of his helmet are many floral patterns. The Japanese driver cannot wait to wear his new helmet.

Sergio Perez drives with a predominantly white helmet in Japan. The colours of the Mexican flag can still be found on top of his white helmet. Bottas is driving a helmet designed by his girlfriend in Japan. It is a completely different design than we are used to from the Finn. Namely, this one is dark blue, with light blue and red accents.
Suzuka is my favourite track, so special helmet design was needed. I love Japan
