Sebastian Vettel will hang up his racing helmet after the current Formula 1 season, at least for now. The four-time world champion will stop racing for a while, but it is not excluded that he will return at a later date. That he will do so at Red Bull Racing is certainly a possibility, according to Vettel himself.

It is no secret that Vettel and Red Bull still have a very good relationship. The German became the youngest ever Formula 1 world champion in 2010 at Red Bull. In the three seasons that followed, the Heppenheimer also managed to win the world championship every time.

Vettel on Red Bull return

If Vettel in the FIA press conference asked about a possible position within Red Bull, he replied: " I don't know at the moment, I'm not considering anything, because, you know, I'm stepping away,", states the current number fourteen in the World Championship. "So, time will tell what will be something that is possible to do, if there is an offer of any such nature or not, and then I will I will see how I feel like, you know, at the moment."

For now, Vettel is mainly looking forward to spending more time with his family. " I'm quite happy to spend more time on other things and look forward to seeing the kids more and stuff like that. And then time will tell whether I get bored within three months or three years. I don't know. So we will see," is how Vettel keeps all options open.
