Perez happy for Verstappen: 'Great day for the team, less so for me'

Max Verstappen scored Red Bull Racing's fourth consecutive victory at the Dutch Grand Prix, but his teammate Sergio Perez had a less successful weekend. He started and finished fifth and although he is happy for his team, for Perez it is a result to be quickly forgotten.
Perez happy for Verstappen and Red Bull
"Obviously this is a great day for the team but it wasn’t the best day at the office for me," Perez began in a Red Bull Racing press release. The Mexican suffered a lot of tyre degradation and never really got the balance where he wanted it. He speaks of a hectic race with incidents in the pit lane, where the Red Bull driver was lucky not to be damaged when he ran over a Ferrari wheelgun.
Nevertheless, Perez can be happy with the result Red Bull achieved at Zandvoort, which from Friday proved not to be an ideal match for the RB18. "Despite the difficulty I had, we managed to save some good points. There’s lots to take away from today and plenty to understand from our side so that we can come back strong in Monza," concludes a combative Perez.
Great job by @Max33Verstappen and @redbullracing to win the race today, on our side it wasn't the best day, but we scored good points. #DutchGP
