Charles Leclerc set the fastest time in the second free practice session, but it wasn't easy for the Monegasque. The competitor of Max Verstappen points out in conversation with Formula1.com that his car didn't quite do what he wanted it to. However, he remains confident for the coming days.

Leclerc had a disappointing race in Belgium. The driver was unable to keep up with Verstappen and even finished sixth. In the Netherlands he hopes to do better, but with the times close to each other this will not be easy.

Difficult first day for Leclerc

During the first two free practice sessions, Leclerc immediately tried to get the best out of his performance. The Ferrari driver noticed that his car performed better than at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, but he could not be satisfied yet.

"I wasn’t much at ease with the car balance today," he said. "Just in general, the balance was quite tricky, quite a bit of understeer, trying to rotate the car, and then in exit quite snappy because I didn’t rotate the car enough mid-corner. So we need to work on that."
