Max Verstappen was supreme at the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. The Red Bull Racing driver was unstoppable from 14th on the grid and after a perfect qualifying lap on Saturday, he put in a perfect performance on Sunday as well. This is also reflected in the Formula 1 Power Rankings.

Perfect score for Verstappen

The analysts from Formula1.com Verstappen saw no wrong footing. "Even a P14 start couldn't derail the champion's drive to the front," reads the caption. "He qualified fastest and made startingly quick work of recovering to the podium positions, and from then there was no doubt that the Dutchman would take the lead. He was, as the saying goes, inevitable." The fastest lap and the honorary title of Driver of the Day were the icing on the cake for the championship leader.

Alexander Albon also scored high. The Williams driver defended his top-ten position like a lion and managed to hold on to the last point. He was rated 8.8, just ahead of Fernando Alonso's 8.6, who finished third. Despite the early crash with Lewis Hamilton, which damaged his Alpine, the two-time world champion managed to hold on to fifth place. In doing so, he did get some help from the time penalty imposed on Charles Leclerc.
