Di Resta shocked by the speed of Red Bull: "Incredible job"
- Toby McLuskie
Sky Sports pundit Paul Di Resta is impressed with the speed on show by Red Bull in today's qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix. The Scot spoke after the session and shared his thoughts on the major gap seen between Max Verstappen and his rivals today.
"I never thought this year I'd see a Ferrari/Red Bull gap that big. No matter the circumstances with tyres, penalties. That's incredible, a statement of intent," Di Resta exclaimed speaking to his fellow Sky Sports pundits and analysts.
Are Red Bull only getting stronger?
He finished by explaining how it's only falling into the Austrian team's hands for the rest of the season and with the little number of upgrades being brought in, the work done is 'incredible': "We know the low downforce goes the Red Bull way, so what's going to happen at Monza? It's going to help them again in a couple of weeks. It's an incredible job, to come back from the summer break with an impact like that, without upgrades, and just optimisation. The deflation in Leclerc's voice, he knows they mean business at the right time of the year."
