As of 2026, Audi will make its entry into F1 as an engine supplier. The German brand announced this in Belgium during a press event with Formula 1. A deal with a team is not yet in the discussion. Although there are many rumours about a possible takeover of Sauber, the Audi representatives couldn't say anything about that on Friday morning.
That Audi has more ambitions than just supplying engines to an F1-team became clear very quickly. Not only did the team talk about their involvement with a possible chassis partner, the brand has also already designed its own livery for an F1 car. Whether this livery will actually be seen in F1 in 2026 remains to be seen. On Audi Sport, photos emerged.
