F1 boss Stefano Domenicali has officially announced via the French news agency AFP that no Formula One race will be held at the Paul Ricard circuit in 2023. The organizers of the French Grand Prix have since confirmed the news.

French GP disappears

The sport does hope to return to France in the future, but the circuit in Le Castellet will no longer be used.

Following Thursday morning's report on a French site, Domenicali has now confirmed that the contract with the organisers of the French GP will not be renewed. This will free up a place on the calendar for the new races that have already been scheduled, such as the races in Las Vegas and Qatar. Possibly Spa will remain on the calendar.
