No French GP
Although the Formula 1 calendar is getting bigger and bigger, there is less and less room for historic circuits. In 2023 the organisation reportedly wants to organise 24 races, but with the arrival of races in Qatar, Las Vegas and the possible return of the Chinese Grand Prix, one or more races will have to make way.
The GP in France, like those in Belgium and Monaco, have been under pressure for some time now and according to the French medium F1 in Belgium has announced that the French GP will no longer be on the calendar as from 2023. The two parties have not come to an agreement, but Stefano Domenicali does not rule out the race returning in the future as part of a rotation scheme with other races.
