Andretti Racing is still not giving up on its Formula One dream. Mario Andretti does not understand how F1 could turn them down after all the commitment they have shown. The Americans are working on the project every day.

Andretti Racing still has the goal of entering F1 as the 11th team. So far, however, this has not really worked out, as several F1 team bosses are opposed to Andretti joining. There is also still no response from the FIA regarding the American team's proposal.

In an earlier interview, Mario Andretti lashed out at Toto Wolff, who had expressed his doubts about Andretti in the sport. Fred Vasseur and Zak Brown are also uncertain about the arrival of Andretti. The F1 entry of Porsche and Audi is welcomed with open arms, as the two car manufacturers will most likely cooperate with two existing F1 teams, namely Red Bull Racing and Sauber (Alfa Romeo). According to the team bosses, this is better for the sport.

Andretti does not give up

This week, Andretti Global revealed that it will invest two hundred million dollars in a new factory in the state of Indiana. The American company is thus showing great ambitions, but an F1 entry is still not a guarantee. Andretti Racing's goal is to be on the grid as early as 2024, but that deadline is becoming increasingly tight without a commitment from the sport. In any case, the team is not giving up yet.

"We’re on it. That’s all I can tell you, we’re on it every day. Nothing has stopped. The project continues, everything continues as if we’ve been given the go-ahead. I don’t know how they could turn us down at the end of the day with the commitment we have before them", Andretti tells Indystar.
