Charles Leclerc is still happy that he was given the opportunity to make the switch to Ferrari in 2019. The Italian formation was the driver's big goal for many years to ever achieve, allowing him to see his dream come true.

When he was just a teenager, a family friend allowed him to visit the Ferrari factory. However, the Monegasque was unable to find out what went on inside the complex, as he explains in an extensive interview with GQ Magazine.

"I sat in the car park for two hours," Leclerc recalled. The driver imagined all sorts of things in the process. "Trying to guess what it was like inside. I imagined Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, y’know? With Oompa Loompas running around."

Sainz has different memories of first encounter

Sainz didn't enter the factory until years later. Although he was still under contract to McLaren, he was already given the opportunity to go past Ferrari. Entering through the back, he was immediately amazed by what he saw. In 2021, he finally signed a contract with Ferrari.
