Big tennis player thinks Verstappen is great driver: 'Even more this year'.

Russian professional tennis player Daniil Medvedev, the current number one in the tennis world, is a big fan of Formula 1. He is especially impressed by Max Verstappen. As a fan, he thinks the title battle has already been decided after the first half of the season.
"I respect Max. He’s an amazing driver, especially, I would even say more this year for me than last year. This year, the consistency is so strong," the tennis player told Ziggo Sport. Ferrari also has a strong car, but the Italians have made a lot of mistakes, leaving Verstappen with a big gap in the championship. The Dutchman has already won several races where Ferrari was the big favourite.
At the Hungarian Grand Prix, Verstappen had to come back from P10 after a mediocre qualifying session, but the Dutchman surprisingly managed to win the race. "He started in P10, some people wanted Leclerc to win to have more of a championship fight. But Max won it. He’s just amazing," Medvedev continued.
Championship already decided?
As a fan of Verstappen, the Russian is convinced that the championship has already been decided, although as a tennis player, he knows that the battle can go on until the very last round. "In my opinion, yes. But when I say it, I’m a sportsman, so I know it’s not true. As a fan, I say yes, I think so. But as a sportsman, I say nothing is decided until the last point."
