Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc seem to be the favourites for the Hungarian Grand Prix, according to Max Verstappen. Sainz seems to be looking forward to it at the press conference and stresses that the season is far from lost.

Sainz still believes in good chances for Ferrari

The Ferrari driver seems convinced that his team can still fully compete in the championship against Red Bull and Max Verstappen. The outlook for the coming weekend looks good for the team. Should the team not blunder, a one-two is quite conceivable. Sainz told the press: "Yes, this year we fancy our changes at every circuit. The competitiveness of the car is not an issue. We are competitive everywhere. Sometimes it's race pace or quali where Red Bull are quicker and in others we are quicker. It's a great fight."

That Ferrari does not blunder is crucial. The team and both drivers have already made several mistakes this season that cost them dearly. Sainz: "We need a clean weekend. We all strive for it, but they are more difficult to get in F1 than what people think. Yes, we have a competitive car, and we have weaknesses to reliability but it's still a long year ahead. Still 10 or nine races, everything I seen this year everything can happen. it's been up and down for everyone. There's a lot to play for."
