Ferrari and Red Bull Racing have been at loggerheads in Formula 1 all season, but now the Italians seem to be beating their Milton Keynes rival in car development. Helmut Marko knows there is work for Red Bull to do to close the gap.

The German Auto, Motor und Sport writes that Red Bull brings improvements to the floor every weekend, but that this does not result in big steps forward. That is different at Ferrari. Mattia Binotto's men take fewer, but very targeted updates to Grands Prix. The floor of F1-75 has been particularly impressive in recent weeks.

Red Bull impressed by Ferrari

Most of the points were again for Red Bull in the French Grand Prix, but the pole position went to a Ferrari again. As so often this season. Charles Leclerc set the fastest time on Saturday, but it was Carlos Sainz' s time that raised eyebrows on the Austrian team's pit wall.

Helmut Marko tells the aforementioned medium: "Sainz set an out of this world time in qualifying. We were almost a second off. That should give us pause for thought if they are able to reproduce such times regularly." The Red Bull advisor therefore also expects to face a very difficult weekend in Hungary next weekend, as does Max Verstappen incidentally.
