The French Grand Prix promises to be a hot race weekend. According to the forecasts of Weather.com the temperature will not drop below thirty degrees this weekend.

Formula 1 has had to cope with a lot of rain in recent races. The qualifications for the Grand Prix of Imola, Canada and Great Britain were (partly) spoiled. It has been a while since the teams have had to deal with warm conditions. However, things will be different this weekend in France.

F1 in the heat

In Le Castellet it has been hot all week. As in the rest of Europe, temperatures are very high this week, peaking at 36 degrees on Thursday in France. That temperature will not be reached during the race weekend, but with 33 degrees it is already very hot on the circuit during the first and second free practice.

On Saturday, the third free practice and qualifying sessions are slightly warmer, at 34 degrees. On Sunday, the temperature will drop to 33 degrees. Rain is unlikely to fall. The chance of rain this weekend is estimated not higher than five percent.
