Aston Martin responds to rumours of Schumacher interest

Sebastian Vettel has been part of the Aston Martin team since the start of last season. Despite the rumours about his future, team boss Mike Krack hopes that the German will also be part of the stable next racing year.
With four World Championships, Vettel brings a lot of experience to the team. Upon his arrival the driver hoped to slowly grow towards the top of the rankings, but this season Aston Martin has again struggled to catch up with the other formations.
As a result the British are in ninth place in the Constructors' Championship, often finishing outside the top ten. Vettel, however, continues to express his hope for changes and that more than satisfies Krack.
Krack clear on wishes of Aston Martin
The team boss is doing everything possible behind the scenes to make rapid progress and hopes to do the same with Vettel in 2023. He is therefore trying to convince him. "I am not a fan of calling him every day and telling him what we have just done. We have to convince him with the progress and results on the track," he said.
In recent times, Mick Schumacher's name has been mentioned several times when it comes to Vettel's successor, but Krack does not want to respond to that as yet. "We do not talk about possible successors. Neither with him, nor with others. Because we want Sebastian to stay with us."
