Mick Schumacher finally seems to be making his breakthrough in F1. After a tough period in which he did not score any points, he battled with Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in the last two races and scored his first points.

Schumacher took his first points in F1 at the British Grand Prix with an eighth-place finish. P7 seemed attainable, but the reigning world champion held off the German. A week later Schumacher fought another world champion. In the battle with Hamilton, he did pass him once and learned an important lesson.

Schumacher the travelling star

''I think the main thing that I learned is that everybody’s human. Everybody makes mistakes and everybody, when they’re under pressure, at some time gets to a point where they do make mistakes. That, I think, is important to me to know that and not be afraid about fighting with anybody out there,'' the son of Michael Schumacher said to Racer.com.

Schumacher has finally found confidence because, after an eighth-place at Silverstone, a sixth-place immediately followed in Austria. On the Red Bull Ring, Mick was particularly convincing in the duel with Hamilton. He forced the seven times world champion into mistakes and kept the Briton behind him for a long time. So now he has learned a lot from that.
