Mick Schumacher must have had to get used to fighting for position with Max Verstappen in a Red Bull on the track. In the British Grand Prix, it really happened. Verstappen and Schumacher say they enjoyed the duel, although the latter thinks that the reigning world champion should perhaps have received a penalty.

In the closing stages Verstappen defended with everything he had. Schumacher had to lift as a result and even left the asphalt for a moment. "That definitely needs to be looked at, because he pushed me off the track twice. Maybe we could have had a few more points," said the German, who said he was very happy with the result. Formula1.com The German said he was very happy with eighth place and his first World Championship points ever in Formula 1.

Verstappen also commented on the fight with the Haas F1 driver. At Motorsport-Magazin.com The current world championship leader said: "It was a tough duel against Mick, that was fun. Of course that's not what I'm here for, but when you have so many problems, points like that are always very important and you have to appreciate that."
