Sergio Perez has finished second after an intense duel in the closing stages of the British Grand Prix. The Mexican managed to keep Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc behind him. Perez is more than satisfied.

"Was a great comeback. We didn't give up and kept on pushing. We were pushing at the end and it was a great fight with Charles then Lewis. It was epic final laps. A good fight between us," Perez told the camera after the race.

Perez had to make an early pit stop after sustaining damage to his front wing in a battle with Max Verstappen and Leclerc. Despite the setback, the Mexican managed to fight his way back through the field. In the final laps, Perez found himself in an incredibly close battle with Hamilton and Leclerc for second place.

Perez had nowhere to go

"I got squeezed. Charles on the inside and Max on the outside. I had front wing damage. I had to change it and then dropped to last place and recover from there," Perez said.
