Sergio Perez was unable to continue his good form of recent weeks in Canada. Red Bull Racing's Mexican driver is aiming to rebound at Silverstone and hopes to return to the podium on Sunday.

"It hasn’t been nice to me the last races around the UK so I really hope that I’m able to put it together this weekend and get up on the podium here", Perez tells the press conference ahead of the British Grand Prix broadcast by Sky Sports. The Mexican has not scored points at the circuit since 2019, so he will be hoping for a better result this coming weekend.

“I think we should be in a good place but we’ll see. I think definitely the competition will be close so we have to make sure and always with the weather here can play a big part in it.”  The weather forecast currently shows that we can expect a lot of rain at Silverstone, but it is especially unclear what the weather will do on Sunday during the race.

Perez waits for his Hypercar

Last week Red Bull presented the new RB17 Hypercar designed by Adrian Newey. Perez is already waiting for his copy. "I’ve been told I’m on the list", he says with a grin.
