Schumacher needs to relax more: 'That will bring better results'
- GPblog.com
Mick Schumacher is still waiting for his first point in Formula 1, but in the hunt for that point, the German should not pressure himself. That is the advice of Mick's predecessor: Romain Grosjean.
The arrival of Kevin Magnussen has not made things any easier for Schumacher. The German had Nikita Mazepin in his pocket, but compared to the returning Magnussen he is struggling. The Dane has already scored 15 points in the first four races, while Schumacher is still waiting for his first F1 points.
Tip for Schumacher
''It's not easy for him'', Grosjean described Schumacher's situation to Canal Plus. According to the former Haas driver, it doesn't help that the competition is getting stronger and stronger and Haas is falling further and further away. ''Mick has those points of Kevin in the back of his mind, but Haas is not that good anymore.''
It is a picture Grosjean knows all too well. "It's a typical Haas season: they fall back after a good start. Mick tries very hard to match those performances, but then you make mistakes. He needs to relax and take his time. In F1, driving slowly sometimes gives better results'', concludes the Frenchman.
