Max Verstappen impressed during an online race. The Dutchman was in action in the BMW Sim GT Cup and made up 42 places during his hour-long stint.

It is clear that Verstappen enjoys racing. In addition to Formula 1, the Red Bull Racing driver also uses the simulator in his spare time. This weekend he participated in the two-hour race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit on behalf of Team Redline. The livery was white-orange.

Verstappen makes a big leap

The reigning world champion formed a unique duo with Alex Palou. The Spaniard was the winner of the IndyCar championship in 2021. The two had a tough race, as they had to start from 50th on the grid, which was the second-to-last position. However, that was no problem for Verstappen.

The Dutchman raced the first hour of the BMW Sim GT Cup and showed that he can also race a little in the virtual world. From P50, he moved up to eighth place. Halfway through the race, his Spanish teammate took over and drove the car to a seventh-place finish. Maximilian Benecke and Patrick Holzmann took victory on behalf of Team Redline Red.
