Ricciardo with momentum: 'Hard work and determination have paid off'

Daniel Ricciardo scored points at a Grand Prix in Baku for the first time since in Australia. The Australian wants to take this momentum to Canada and hopes to score two Grands Prix in a row for the first time in 2022.
Magic of Canada
Ricciardo has fond memories of the Canadian Grand Prix. In 2014, when he was still driving for Red Bull Racing, he won his very first Grand Prix in Montreal. In addition, he let it be known in the preview of McLaren that he loves the Canadian city. " I got my first win there back in 2014, so hopefully I can use some of that Canadian magic to get some more points for the team this time round," Ricciardo said.
"It was great to get back in the points in Baku after a tough few races. It was a difficult one, but the hard work and determination clearly paid off," continued the Aussie. Ricciardo wants to take the momentum from Azerbaijan to Canada to score points once again.
Difficult season for Ricciardo
Ricciardo is in his second season for McLaren, but 'The Honeybadger' looks set to have even more trouble in 2022 than he did in 2021. As a result, there is increasing speculation that Ricciardo may no longer be a McLaren driver before the end of 2023.
