Christian Horner is trying hard with Mercedes and Ferrari to get the cost ceiling up this year. According to the team boss, it is otherwise quite possible that several teams will have to miss the last four races. In conversation with Varsity.co.uk he clarifies those words.

The Briton sees that due to the rising costs, it is almost impossible to meet the agreements as a racing stable. For now, the organization remains silent.

"I think that the idea of skipping races was taken a little out of context," Horner explained. "What I was trying to demonstrate was that, in order for a team like a Ferrari, like a Mercedes, like a Red Bull, to hit the cap, it would take a draconian measure to the point of literally having to miss races."

Wolff favors salary cap

Wolff let it be known on Saturday morning that he considers it a good possibility to agree on a salary cap for drivers in the future. According to the Mercedes team boss, the teams' costs should not increase further and such a measure could provide a solution.
