Criticism of Jos Verstappen: 'Shows he boils up very easily'

In his column for Verstappen.com, Jos Verstappen criticized Red Bull Racing's strategy at the Monaco Grand Prix on Monday. Journalists from The Race respond to Verstappen senior's article.
Verstappen senior did not sound satisfied after the race in Monaco. He believes that Red Bull did not help his son to get to the front and that ten points of Max Verstappen were thrown away in the championship. The strategy mainly helped Sergio Perez to his victory.
At The Race Gary Anderson and Scott Mitchell, among others, assess the criticism of Verstappen senior. "I think Jos is just venting his anger at everything. It is just showing that he boils up very easily. Actually, if you look back at his driving he was the same then. Jos, it’s time to zip it and be happy for the success your son is achieving. Otherwise, it is very easy to alienate the people who matter", Anderson writes in the website's column.
'Jos Verstappen a difficult figure'
Opinions are divided about Perez and whether he is a title contender who can challenge Verstappen this year, but journalists agree that Verstappen senior should not interfere with the team's actions.
"This is exactly what I expect of Jos. He has long been an imposing, polarising and difficult figure in the background at Red Bull and has now made it very clear, in public, that Red Bull can expect trouble unless it does everything to help Max win. Even if it means harming his team-mate’s prospects", Mitchell says.
