Leclerc satisfied with Friday in front of home crowd: 'Looking forward to the coming days'

Charles Leclerc drove a solid Friday on the streets of his home country. During both of Friday's practice sessions, the Monegasque recorded the fastest time. The Ferrari driver sounds positive about the laps he drove.
Little to do with Leclerc and Ferrari
Leclerc was fast and drove a lot of laps, which logically indicates a good free practice. To the press, the driver agrees with that image. Indeed, there was little going on in the driver's cockpit and in the garage box. At Sky Sports, Leclerc says: "It was great to see so many people on the track today, considering it's only Friday. So I'm really looking forward to the next few days. Hopefully we can give the tifosi a good result."
In terms of content, Leclerc had nothing to complain about the practice sessions either: "We had a consistent practice with a lot of laps. We still need to 'fine tune' the balance but all in all it was definitely not bad. We now have to take the usual step from Friday to Saturday." For his teammate Carlos Sainz, the practice sessions also went smoothly. The Spaniard is only 44 thousandths of a second behind. However, Leclerc in particular had a few moments on Friday where he braked in the first corner.
