These are scenes reminiscent of McLaren' s partnership with Honda in Formula 1. Time after time, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button received dozens of spots of grid penalty for changing engine parts. The same is happening in Formula E, where Envision driver Nick Cassidy is facing a grid penalty of no less than eighty places.

Cassidy takes eighty places grid penalty

The team mate of Robin Frijns was forced to change several parts, which gives him a total grid penalty of eighty places. Cassidy will therefore have to start the second E-Prix in Berlin from the last position on the grid.

His teammate has fared better so far: Frijns will start the second race of the weekend from the second row, alongside polesitter Edoardo Mortara. However, it will be a tough task to beat the Swiss, as his name has been at the top of the results all weekend.
