Formula E Berlin | Frijns and De Vries on P10 and P11 in FP1
- GPblog.com
Early Saturday morning at 7:00 Dutch time, Formula E drivers began their weekend in Berlin already. The first free practice session was held at the Tempelhof circuit. Oliver Rowland was the most awake and drove the fastest time.
Competitive field
The seventh and eighth rounds of the Formula E season will be held this weekend at the Tempelhof circuit in Berlin. Although the layout of the circuit remains unchanged, the track on Sunday is different from the track on Saturday. This is because on Sunday the drivers will drive clockwise instead of anti-clockwise.
The first session on Saturday was ideal for Rowland. He trumped Lucas di Grassi and Stoffel Vandoorne, but the competition was close. The entire top six were within 0.1 seconds of each other. Dutchmen Robin Frijns and Nyck de Vries were not far behind Rowland in terms of time, but due to the competitive field, they did not get further than P10 and P11.
