Mixed feelings in the garage of Ferrari. On the one hand, there was joy that Charles Leclerc won in Melbourne and further extended his lead in the World Cup standings. But there was also disappointment that Carlos Sainz crashed out early on.

A lot of satisfaction

Already after three races, Leclerc seems to be the biggest contender for the title, especially now that reliability at Red Bull leaves something to be desired. Team boss Mattia Binotto was also ecstatic. Afterwards he said through his team, "Today gives great satisfaction. But we know that every race can be different. Let's enjoy it today."

Binotto also realized that Sainz was quite disappointed. According to the Italian, Sainz will really come back in the near future and he simply had a lot of bad luck in Melbourne. Binotto suspects that starting on the hard tires was not the right decision in retrospect. Moreover, Sainz had problems with his steering wheel.

Not unbeatable

The next race is at Imola, in Italy. No doubt the Tifosi will turn out en masse. "I'm looking forward to Imola. I don't think we are unstoppable, every race will be different. Great to be in Imola after a win and such a good start to the season," Binotto jubilated.
