The drivers are preparing for the race of the Australian Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc will start from pole position in it. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez follow close behind.

Prior to the race weekend, the pressure on Leclerc's shoulders could be called great. The Monegasque showed positive results during the first two GPs in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, raising expectations in recent weeks. However, Leclerc proved to be able to handle that pressure, as he took P1 in the final stages of qualifying.

It was a disappointment for Verstappen who was hoping for the first starting position. He could do nothing but settle for a spot behind Leclerc, followed by Perez, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton. George Russell and Daniel Ricciardo will start in sixth and seventh positions respectively.

Stroll and Albon both penalized

Lance Stroll faced a three-place grid penalty and Alexander Albon was even disqualified, leaving them in nineteenth and twentieth place. In front of them they have Nicholas Latifi, Sebastian Vettel and Kevin Magnussen.
