Russell: We need to work hard tonight

George Russell finished FP2 just outside the top 10 in 11th, although ahead of his teammate who finished P13. There are still greater expectations for Mercedes this year and they don't won't be beaten by a lot of midfield cars. Something that was reflected in the driver's post FP2 interview with Sky Sports

Hard work and porpoising

The Brit said this "There's quite a few midfield cars ahead of us, and obviously quite a long way off the pace from the front so we need to work hard tonight. Understand the limitations. The car felt alright, didn't feel too and felt a bit strange on the soft tyre."

"
We're definitely porpoising pretty bad into turn nine, It's probably the more severe I've experienced", the young driver added, with Mercedes unable to add those upgrades they hoped to bring this weekend to help deal with the porpoising, this isn't something the manufacturer will be wanting to here.
